Well, by now I guess y'all have seen the news. Punxsutawney Phil has seen his shadow... 6 more weeks of winter.
In my neck of the woods we have Birmingham Bill... he saw this shadow too. He lives at the Birmingham Zoo. To tell the truth~ I think this is rigged, because yesterday was a nasty, cloudy, rainy day. The only way a ground hog could have seen a shadow would be with the aid of the bright television lights.
This just goes to show that Reality TV just might be skewed.
Which reminds me~ What is up with the bachelor? He sent home the perfect mommy for Ty. I still want to know when DeAnna is coming back in the picture.
Maybe Phil could predict “most dramatic rose ceremony ever”?
Y'all stay warm!
Sandi

LOL - I've always said they see their shadows b/c of the bright TV lights; glad someone agrees with me.
Yep, B'ham Bill was rigged. Mickey Ferguson said in his weather report that there had to be bait set up in that den to make him go back in there...
LOL yeah...rigged - but today does feel like winter for sure. (but I think he's wrong)
I think Jason is going to pick Melissa. Stephanie was sweet but I don't think she's the one for him.
It snowed here in Paris.
angie
It's snowing here again. I am so ready for Spring. Maybe we can make that groundhog change his mind. LOL Have a good one!
I have been wondering the same thing,,,about DeAnna? Thought maybe I had missed it. Wasn't Stephanie the perfect Lady? Handled her exit with such style. She has my respect.
Kim~ I agree!
Melissa~ Mickey Ferguson cracks me up.
Char~ You think melissa? Not Melissa Wertz :-)
Angie~ stay warm! I know it snowed in London too.
Joan~ you may have to head to Hilton Head for an early spring.
Nanny~ I think DeAnna is still in the picture... Hmmm?
I'm with you,and I thought Stephanie was perfect and what a lady.I bet they bring Deanna back on the last night....Barb
We need NO MORE of this Chicago winter.
Bundle up? What do you southerners know about bundling up? LOL
Jerry,
You are so right! Bundling up means literally bundling up...you know, scarves and toques and down-filled skidoo suits!;-)
Nice post, Sandi!
Wiarton Willie is one of our weather predicators, and there was no shadow at all for him this year. We can always hope!
Fun post! I am amazed at how many famous groundhogs I have read about this week. There seems to be one for every major city or at least state except for Hawaii...no groundhogs living here although we have been bundling up with more cold north winds.
My thought (from living in Minnesota) has always been "only 6 more weeks? Thank God"
When do people think winter is supposed to be over, anyway.... February? I'm happy with March and really bummed when it snows in May...
Barb~ are you on the inside scoop?
DariusT~ you strike me as a southern boy... Chicago is to cold!
Jerry & Brenda~ this is true... y'all could give us lessons on bundling up.
Girasoli~ I would be willing to be your idea of bundling is about like ours.
Katie~ Of course we want daffodils in February!
Brrr - down in the twenties in south Alabama. So I think Bill and Phil are probably spot on.
You keep warm too!
I went with Beauregard Lee over in Liliburn, GA who did not see his shadow. :-)
I love all the great and creative ideas you have for centerpieces! Keep them coming.
