A bloggerversary giveaway!

What was I ever thinking? In Oct of 2006, Bill came up with the idea of starting a WhistleStop Blog. At first, the idea was that we would both be posting.

On Oct 7, 2006 I posted my first blog page. Now 3 years and almost 700 posts later... I am still at it. Bill has yet to make his first blog post (don't hold your breath on that one)

I will say over the past 3 years, I have developed some of the most amazing friendships. Many people I have met... others I've never seen face to face, but I feel like we are back door neighbors. We could sit over a glass of sweet tea and have plenty to talk about. I know that there are lots of blurkers who don't leave comments, but come into my bloggy kitchen every day. I have posted tons of recipes, tips, and crafty ideas. I've taken y'all on trips across the world and around town. You have shared in the important events in our lives.

I appreciate each of you! To celebrate our 3rd Bloggerversary I am going to have a giveaway. Leave me a comment (yes even you blurkers) and remind me of one of your favorite post, picture, or recipe. I will draw a name from the hat and send the winner a big goodie box of WhistleStop products, a cookbook, and an apron. I will draw the lucky winner on Oct 7th. Thanks y'all!
Sandi

Congrats on three years of blogging!

Most memorable for me was your gumbo recipe for Slow Soupers. It was my first time ever making a roux. And it worked!

Three years! Wow! I am impressed!

Oh wow. To pick one favorite post is hard!!! You have posted so many fantastic recipes that I don't know if I can only pick one... I loved the roasted broccoli one, but I think that the lemon chicken salad is my ultimate favorite. In fact, I sent a link to that post to several friends.

I also loved all your Italy pictures. They reminded me of my trip there and made my heart all warm remembering how fun it was.

Keep on blogging, Sandi! Here's to many more years!

Sandi I enjoy your blog so much. It's always full of humour, warmth, and wonderful recipes. I think one of my fave posts was of course the hot air balloon adventure and days with friends in Montisi. Love you and love that sweet tea.

Just found your blog very recently, so I don't have a favorite post -- yet. :) I DO know that I look forward to each new posting, though.

Where have I been for 3 years?????? I just found you (purchased a box of Whistle Stop chili mix, yummm) and love the blog. While perusing the blog I really liked the breakfast cookies and the Baked garlic cheese grits. Thanks for being here and sharing your knowledge.

Okay, how do I pick just one???? So I will say this, your adventures in Italy made me very happy. I was so thrilled you were able to take us along whenever you went. And the last time, oh what I would have given to be able to cook in Italy. oooolalaaaa

Happy Bloggerversary! I love all your posts really. But the Photohunt ones are probably my favorites like the Pasta one. Oh and then there's the recipe ones, love those too.

All your posts are great!

easy to pick my favorite. It would have to be Italy. That is the only place across the sea that I would want to see. And to be able to cook as well. How Cool.

Sandi-Congratulations on your bloggerversary. I don't know what my favorite post of yours is, but I like the ones where you show photos of your family. Like the post on 8/27 called Smile. I think it's great that your family gets together for the photos like that and plans to wear white, etc. You do have a beautiful family!

Wow - three years. Imagine that Bill has not posted once on his blog! LOL

I'm not sure that I have a favourite post Sandi because I LOVE the all - the most fun is how our quirky sense of humour always comes through . . .

I don't think I can choose an all-time favorite, but I do often turn to your recipe for curried chicken and rice casserole when I need to eat something and am facing a refrigerator full of leftovers!

Congratulations, friend! I adore your blog. I think my favortie post have been when you did a soup post each week, and then there was the ice cream ones. I didnt know there were so many flavors. My stomach still aches to try the pina colada ice cream.
I love the post where you went to the Italian eatery in Homewood with Rhoda and your "dates". I love the picture you took out the top of your cute little VW, I have loved your vacation trips for I feel as though I have gotten to go along. I have loved the pancake showdowns and the trip to your sister in laws home. Girl, so many great things can be found here....but you can guess my most favorite post were those from Italy, where I lived vicariously through you my friend! Wow! that was amazing.
Congrats and many more. Love to stop by the Whistlestop Cafe Blog.
Hugs!
