Cinco de Mayo

Cinco de Mayo is the American celebration of the Mexican liberation from France.

Don't ask why this is a reason to party... I tried my best to explain it last year. We just enjoy the holiday every year!

You will find us on the patio of our favorite Margarita Grill. It is no secret that we are regulars... in fact this is MY painting on the wall.
That margarita almost looks good enough to drink.
Y'all come join us tonight for the real thing!

I am in Texas, and there is a lot of celebrating of this holiday here! But, sadly, no margaritas for me. Acid reflux. But I'm glad to have "virtually" had one through you.

Looks like a great place. That's YOUR painting? Wow. You would love San Merideth's blog and Chewy's blog too - you'll find them both on my blogroll. Let me know if you have any difficulty finding them.

Hi Sandi,
LOVE the painting ~ especially the salt around the rim of the glass. What did you use for that?
No margaritas for me though - can't stomach the smell of tequilla.
Have a wonderful week.
Blessings,
Sandy :)

You know...it was rather strange around here. This is our first year living in La Habra, CA. Although our neighborhood is multi-ethnic, we are surrounded by Hispanic neighbors and people who are probably here illegally. We hear parties all the time with loud mariachi music. Last night, it was so quiet, it almost felt like earthquake weather. I was really surprised that there wasn't more activity.

So, it didn't feel like Cinco de Mayo here although I woke up thinking about it. This drink looks amazing. I don't drink anymore, so I would have to take a virgin version, but I bet it would be good!

Have a grand and glorious day!

Gosh, I'd love to join you. I'd go just about anywhere for a good margarita. Heck, I'd go just about anywhere for an "okay" one, come to think about it. lol

Nice painting! Who knew you had such talent. I just thought you were charming, beautiful and witty. (Hey - if I keep talking like that will it get me anything?)

The 10 years I lived in Hawaii I was not in the least surprised by Cinco de Mayo parties, but I was startled to find that it is even a reason for extensive partying in Hawaii. Of course, here everything is reason to party. (But that does not necessarily mean drink.)
