Promises for 2008

The new year is upon us. This is a time to reflect on accomplishments in the last year, and set goals for the upcoming year. I am still determined not to make resolutions, but a to do list for the year.

It is very hard to come up with a new fresh list for this year, but I am worth it. 10 things that I promise myself to do in 2008.

* Give Yoga a try
* Start cranking the pasta machine
* Learn Italian
* Have a glass of wine in front of a Tuscan sunset
* Eat shrimp and grits in Savannah
* Increase my flavanoids in one hershey's kiss a day
* Ride in a Hot Air Ballon
* Get that new cookbook finished
* Always have a bag when the donation truck comes through the neighborhood.
* Turn 50 gracefully

It is an aggressive list; one that may require a little travel, some determination, and of course sacrifice. But I'm worth it!

Our hope for 2008 is that it will be a year full of promise, good health, and good friends.
Happy New Year y'all!
Sandi

I love your list! I'll take that Tuscan sunset...or Savannah! Either one!

And there is NO WAY you are turning 50!!! You look MAH-VE-LOUS!

Happy New Year, my friend!

Okay, I've already done 5 things on your list - amazing!:

I had a glass of wine while watching a Tuscan sunset; I KNOW I've eaten chocolate every day, maybe not just one Hershey's kiss though; I've turned 50, hopefully gracefully; I've taken many, many hot air balloon rides (the last one when we were in Australia); and I've tried yoga

I like your list. I need to try the others you've listed.

Happy New Year!
Hugs!

Well, I can cross that last thing off your list and tell you that turning 50 was more fun than I ever imagined it would be! The rest of your list looks like lots of fun and travel ahead.

I TURN 50 THIS MONTH! YIKES! I'm glad to have made it this far, but it feels very strange! I did buy a pair of glasses that have a 50 for the lenses. I figured humor would help.

Your list sounds fascinating! Sign me up!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

That is a fine list Sandi. We will conspire to ensure that there is nothing graceful at all about you turning 50!

Hi Sandi - I love your list! And we'll all get to do these things vicarously through your blog! (Altho, I think I may have to try and do a few of them for real!!)

Best wishes for the new year.

Alas the New Years resolution list. I haven't even had time to think about it. But you have a great one.

Wow! Great list, Sandi. Here's hoping you accomplish each and every one of those things. I don't do resolutions either, nor a list for that matter!! Maybe I should have a list but start on a much smaller scale than yours!! lol

Tell Bill we are finding out more on a daily basis how hard the RR can be. The "iffy" schedule is the worst part!! Can't plan anything!

Hope

I love your list and going to Savannah is always a good idea. I haven't had a glass of wine in Tuscany and only went a few feet up in a hot air balloon and chocolate is always a good idea. I think I need to make list like yours. Much better then being more organized, losing weight etc...
