This month I have a centerpiece with my Italian rooster vase~ in honor of our Slow Travel Get Together in 'Palma' desert in just a few weeks. Janelle is ready for a little well deserved break, so I am going to be the guest host for October! I will remind you again (you may need to remind me to remind you) The rules are~ anything goes! Send in a permi-link to your centerpiece, with a photo, to me at SandiMcMc@yahoo.com. I will post a fun round up Nov 7th.
There are a lot of you who haven't done this in the past...but I know there are some georgous table tops that check in at the cafe.
Y'all show us what's on your table!

You don't want to see what's on my table.
Right now, it's a rather motley collection of chocolate wrappers, trashy magazines, tequila bottles and one empty prescription container for some worthless hormone tablets.
Just kidding. (everyone knows you don't mix chocolate with tequila. sheesh)
I love the rooster! I am looking forward to your hosting the event in October. That gives me a couple of weeks to organize and think of a centerpiece!
I always enjoy seeing the centerpieces!
I LOVE THE ROOSTER!! Sounds like fun. I think I might join ya!
Love,
Julie
Kari~ We have not had a centerpiece that shows the real kitchen table (I've been tempted) You could raise the standard!
Gigi~ A plate of your cupcakes would work =D
RPM~ thanks for stopping in
Julie~ you would do a great job.
I have that same Williams Sonoma rooster - I keep my wooden spoons and such it it next to my range. It looks fabulous with the flowers!! :)
Melissa
Hey Sandi !
Pardon my ignorance but what's a "permi-link" ?
and do you think the recipe for fried green 'maters would work for pickles?
(( ))
I'm not a collector of rooster decor, but I do like one-of-a-kinds. This pitcher is very charming!!! I've been using my clear glass pitchers lately because I'm really getting into seeing the stems of the flowers. This could change when I wake up tomorrow. Mental pause, you know...
KJ
Love the rooster!
Karla
Sandi,
Love your vase. I can't get over my chicken addiction. I have quite a few of them myself.
I will try to remember to enter your centerpiece-of-the-month. I plan to do a new table next week.
Love the centerpiece, that rooster is too cute.
We can only have a center piece on our table if the little one is napping or spending the day with grandma!!!
Love the rooster container! That would work in my kitchen rather nicely. Great idea!
Hugs!
Kat
(Kari's comment cracked me up!)
"Anything goes?" Those are my kind of rules!
Melissa~ Spoons are a good idea when the flowers are gone.
Francie~ The pickles are really good, dry them off first and it will work better. All I need is a link to your post.
KJ~ Mental Pause... I hear you!
Karla~ thanks!
Zoey~ I'll post a reminder.
Dee~ They dooo grow up, promise!
Kat~ Kari always cracks me up. Don't take a sip of anything when you read her blog.
Texas~ Janelle has always had tame posts... mine will turn into a free-for-all.
Sounds like fun! Great rooster!!
hugs,
Becky
PS: I added more pics for you..wink.
That header is so..YOU :) Perfectly whistle stop.
Love the rooster!!! Thanks for posting the recipe for the Fried Green Tomatoes! Yummmmm!
Barbara
I love your Italian rooster vase - so pretty with the fall-colored flowers in it!
I'm going to be doing fried green tomatoes this week - my hubby was too excited when I told him you had posted the recipe! Thanks!
Almost missed your comment on my blog! Thanks for visiting! I'll send you the best centerpiece I did this year - not seasonal for fall but I liked it.
Becky~ I'll be right over to your cottage. May I bring a friend or two?
MaryAnn~ It took a lot of tries to get it just right!
Barbara & Kris~ enjoy your tomatoes
Zoomie~ Thanks, I'll hang onto it.
I'm still laughing, girl...I have the same vase, only I think mine is a hen...hold on, let me check under her skirt...yep, a hen...I would never have thought to use her that way, since she is the juice jug, but dog gone it, she needs new uses, think I'll dress her up for the parth!
Looks like I need to go to a few less parties, can't even spell party...just finished frying up some green tomatoes and wondering why mine don't look as good as yours? That's okay though, they taste like they look as good as yours!
Thanks for hosting Sandi!
I about fell out of my chair laughing at Kari's comment. We should include in the roundup: what you removed from the table in order to place and photo your centerpiece:).
I admit, I am a sucker for roosters.
What a cute centerpiece:-)
Happy Autumn.
I love roosters! haven't been around the past few weeks; love those fried green tomatas up there!
Love your centerpiece! I'll have to email you a picture of mine. I love rules like "anything goes"!!!
Looks like we may be heading to Alabama in October. I've made my hubby promise to take me to Irondale and the Whistlestop Cafe!
Hi! Thanks for visiting my blog! I really appreciate it. I love Whistlestop products! How cool!
Penny
I just put up an autumn wreath on the front door...the centerpiece? Still the same old, same old! I will have to make a change soon. Your centerpiece is colorful and entertaining.
That rooster looks so cool and makes a perfect vase for the colorful bunch of flowers. Lovely idea!
Sandi~I am beginning to wonder about the origin of my original Italian rooster
Janelle~ You need to pop over and meet Kari... you'll love her too.
Tut-Tut~ I noticed you'd been quiet lately, glad you're back

Janet~ door decorations could be a whole nother event.
Meeta~ I hope you send yours in again next month
Why, oh why did you have to put that picture of those mouth watering fried green tomatoes on your banner? Huh, huh! Just to torture me? Oh, nice floral arrangement-I just can't stop looking at those tomatoes........
Sandi -love the new look to the blog!
Willzmom~ They are yummy looking.
