Centerpiece of the Month~ September

I almost let September slip by without my centerpiece of the month. Janelle at Talk of Tomatoes has posted the centerpieces from August and September. Once Upon a Tart shows off a wreath. Meeta has a beautiful Autumn display. Check them out!
This month I have a centerpiece with my Italian rooster vase~ in honor of our Slow Travel Get Together in 'Palma' desert in just a few weeks. Janelle is ready for a little well deserved break, so I am going to be the guest host for October! I will remind you again (you may need to remind me to remind you) The rules are~ anything goes! Send in a permi-link to your centerpiece, with a photo, to me at SandiMcMc@yahoo.com. I will post a fun round up Nov 7th.
There are a lot of you who haven't done this in the past...but I know there are some georgous table tops that check in at the cafe.
Y'all show us what's on your table!
Sandi

You don't want to see what's on my table.
Right now, it's a rather motley collection of chocolate wrappers, trashy magazines, tequila bottles and one empty prescription container for some worthless hormone tablets.
Just kidding. (everyone knows you don't mix chocolate with tequila. sheesh)

I love the rooster! I am looking forward to your hosting the event in October. That gives me a couple of weeks to organize and think of a centerpiece!

Kari~ We have not had a centerpiece that shows the real kitchen table (I've been tempted) You could raise the standard!
Gigi~ A plate of your cupcakes would work =D
RPM~ thanks for stopping in
Julie~ you would do a great job.

Hey Sandi !
Pardon my ignorance but what's a "permi-link" ?

and do you think the recipe for fried green 'maters would work for pickles?

(( ))

I'm not a collector of rooster decor, but I do like one-of-a-kinds. This pitcher is very charming!!! I've been using my clear glass pitchers lately because I'm really getting into seeing the stems of the flowers. This could change when I wake up tomorrow. Mental pause, you know...

Sandi,
Love your vase. I can't get over my chicken addiction. I have quite a few of them myself.

I will try to remember to enter your centerpiece-of-the-month. I plan to do a new table next week.

Love the centerpiece, that rooster is too cute.

We can only have a center piece on our table if the little one is napping or spending the day with grandma!!!

Love the rooster container! That would work in my kitchen rather nicely. Great idea!

(Kari's comment cracked me up!)

"Anything goes?" Those are my kind of rules!

Melissa~ Spoons are a good idea when the flowers are gone.
Francie~ The pickles are really good, dry them off first and it will work better. All I need is a link to your post.
KJ~ Mental Pause... I hear you!
Karla~ thanks!
Zoey~ I'll post a reminder.
Dee~ They dooo grow up, promise!
Kat~ Kari always cracks me up. Don't take a sip of anything when you read her blog.
Texas~ Janelle has always had tame posts... mine will turn into a free-for-all.

Becky~ I'll be right over to your cottage. May I bring a friend or two?
MaryAnn~ It took a lot of tries to get it just right!
Barbara & Kris~ enjoy your tomatoes
Zoomie~ Thanks, I'll hang onto it.

I'm still laughing, girl...I have the same vase, only I think mine is a hen...hold on, let me check under her skirt...yep, a hen...I would never have thought to use her that way, since she is the juice jug, but dog gone it, she needs new uses, think I'll dress her up for the parth!

Looks like I need to go to a few less parties, can't even spell party...just finished frying up some green tomatoes and wondering why mine don't look as good as yours? That's okay though, they taste like they look as good as yours!

Thanks for hosting Sandi!

I about fell out of my chair laughing at Kari's comment. We should include in the roundup: what you removed from the table in order to place and photo your centerpiece:).

I admit, I am a sucker for roosters.
