Pass the Napkins

Y'all know that we are having a Slow Travel Get Together in Savannah next week. We are looking forward to meeting some friends for the first time and to get a chance to sit and talk with dear old friends. Actual face to face conversations!

The planning committee has done a great job, with events every night and some side trips during the day. We will be eating lunch at Lady and (gorgeous) Son's one day. Bill and I have been to Savannah and love the city.

One of the big events will be a Low Country Boil at the fort on Saturday night. Some are not familiar with the Southern tradition of cooking shrimp, sausage, potatoes, and corn in one huge pot. Last summer I posted Our Recipe for a Low Country Boil~ It is our favorite meal at the beach. It can be a little messy to eat, but it doesn't get much better than that.

I'll let y'all know who's is better!

Oh, what fun, I love Savannah too! Hope ya'll have a great time. This should be a wonderful time to visit, with all the spring blooms & before the humidity hits.

Enjoy!

Oh lucky you! I love Savannah and we tried to get into the Lady and Son's in Sept. but it was too long of a wait with the baby. I have family in Hilton Head and they tell me everything is budding and is beautiful right now. We will be down that way next month. Let us know what you think of the restaurant.
