.39 ¢

I am doing the happy dance!

At our local 'Food Smart' squash was only .39 ¢ a pound.
I bought $3.90 worth.

That is squishy squash, squash casserole, grilled squash, squash k-bobs, fried squash, squash fritatta ...

Help me with some ideas!

I'll be posting a bushel of recipes.

Y'all enjoy!
Sandi

I don't cook much in this weather. I'd top a salad off with it though!

Ciao Bug,

use the recipes I gave you, deep fry the flowers.

You can also stuff them,
when you wash them you gently open them on one side and spread on it a mix of ricotta cheese, salt pepper and parmigiano, place in the middle a piece of smoked provolone, then roll the flowers on itself, splash it in the batter and deep fry.

Ok, know what I am doing for dinner.

Those squash duckies are just too cute.

My family's favorite squash recipe is just sliced squash and onions sauteed in butter, with a little salt and lots of pepper.

I love squash ! I like to slice it with zucchini and onions, layer it in a quiche pan, cover and microwave for approx ten minutes.
You can add butter if you want to but we don't...we just add pepper to taste and it IS sooo tasty. Just natural goodness yum.
