Rhoda is also a 'B' friend from the Birmingham area, and while Kat and George were in town, treated us to reservations at their favorite new Italian restaurant GianMarco.
Italian?... whoo hoo!
We had a wonderful time, although our poor little waiter didn't seem to share in our joy. We laughed and talked all night long. You know bloggers are going to show up with cameras.
Did I mention the food? Great Italian food right here in Alabama. We started with a wonderful salad with gorgonzola and walnuts.
The guys all ordered the spaghetti with meatballs
Kathy had shrimp scampi over polenta... in the background you can see that George had to take drastic measures with that plate of spaghetti.
Definitely good food and a fun chance to get together. The best news is that Kat's biopsy is benign. We are all thrilled!
Now we need to get together at the beach just for the fun of it.

I already saw that Kathy went out with blogging friends, but I didn't put 2 and 2 together and realize one of them was you! Looks like so much fun!
OK! I am ready to meet and greet at the beach! Let's do it!
I know the restaurant. Ian lived just around the corner when he was in B'ham. When we went up for graduation, we told him we would go anywhere he wanted...and he said this was the best in town! It was delicious! Did you have the tiramisu? I had just a bite...it is not my favorite, but the rest of the family raved about it too!
Have a happy 4th!
What a fun night! It was fun seeing Rhoda and Peter and you again and finally getting to meet Bill. I'm so thankful you all helped keep my mind off the next day's procedure. Thank you Lord for my good results...benign...what a wonderful word!
A get together at the beach sounds perfect to me! Let's do it!!!
Hugs!

kat~ all in all it was a perfect trip!
Congratulations on your good report, Kat. Looks like you guys had a fun evening.
Oh, I almost missed this post! Wasn't that the best place? I had a feeling you would all love it as much as we did. So happy that Kat got such great news too.
xo,
Rhoda
The problem with visiting your blog is that I drown in drool looking at all your fabulous food. It is 3:35 AM here. I am waiting for my husband to quit hitting the snooze and get up so I can sleep peacefully. He is a milkman, so his day starts early. I can hardly justify going in to eat something right now.
It is wonderful that you had a great 4th! Have a great weekend!
Hugs, KJ
