Check this out from You Tube...
My hummingbirds are here! They are more skittish than the ones you see here. They will let me sit on the back porch and watch~ I just have to get up earlier.
I read somewhere that we shouldn't use red food coloring in our hummingbird food... We always have added a few drops to our 4:1 water & sugar solution. Which, by the way, is almost the same ratio that some people use for sweet tea around here!
Y'all enjoy!

I could sit and watch this video over and over!!
I love these little critters!! And how awesome to have some of the nectar in his hand and it came right up!!
:)
Oh wow!
You know when our garage door is up we always get one stuck in there...they can't seem to fly out and finally tire and land and you can just pick them up. I always have a good look at them in my hand before releasing and feel that little heart beat wildly!
Ryan and I just watched that, so fun!!! I emailed the clip to my Avian Science friend. Lisa will get a kick out of it!
Amazing video, thanks for sharing
What an amazing video! I can't believe how tame those birds are. Mine certainly aren't...at least not yet.
How cool is that! I remember seeing a picture in Birds and Blooms a few years ago of a lady up in Alaska filling her hummingbird feeder with about 50 of the little hummers hovering all around her impatiently waiting for their meal. They really are quite brave. Great video!
When I was taking photos of my roses on Friday, I kept hearing a "hum". I turned around, there was a hummingbird! I tried to take a photo but it flew away. It was exciting to see one that close.
Oh how sweet! I love the video!

My town is kind of build-up so there's not many trees left. You can imagine my jaw locked instantly once seeing your clip... amasing! Really love your video!!!!!!!!!!
It is April again... so I had to come back and check by sugar to water ratio.
Now I need to go visit some of my old friends that I haven't seen in a year!
