The PhotoHunt for today is 'model'
My friend GK didn't plan to start the day as a model when we set off for the Mercato Centrale ~
But once we stopped at our favorite scarf guy in the Florence market . . . we both became models (I'm the one behind the camera) Ramone is always quick to show you how to wrap the perfect scarf. He is awesome and usually draws a crowd of women wanting to know what to do with the things.
Then, we spent the rest of the day modeling our new scarves around Florence.

PhotoHunt ~ Humble
The PhotoHunt for this weekend is 'Humble'
Do y'all remember the Country song ~
Lord it's hard to be humble,
When you're perfect in every way . . .
That's how I feel when we are hanging out on the 'Redneck Riviera' ~
It's perfect in Every Way.
(but very humble when it comes to fancy resorts and uppity people)

Blue Monday's Blues
As I was hunting through my photos for a Swanky photo, I was reminded of the hundreds of photos that I have never shared . . .
This one is perfect for a blue monday.
I am amazed by the street artists you see in Italy ~ these in Florence.
The amount of work that goes into these chalk drawings are something to see.
Right in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the city.
That is a masterpiece!
Don't forget to check in at Smiling Sally for more blues and Boogie Board Cottage for her Masterpiece Monday.
Y'all enjoy ~

PhotoHunt ~ Swanky
The PhotoHunt for today is 'Swanky'
I could have posted photo's of us at Mardi-Gras ~ putting our 'swank' on . . .
Instead, I think I'll share a swanky pub in Brighton . . .
'The Riddle and Fin'
It is beautifully casual ~ SWANKY for sure.
and a great place to get champagne and oysters. . .
Isn't that what everyone eats when they take a day trip from London to Brighton Beach?

PhotoHunt ~ Blue
The PhotoHunt for today is 'Blue'.
I had picked this photo of our Beautiful Gulf Coast with it's blue waters and white sand.
I loved the pop of two red chairs . . . just waiting for someone with a red solo cup.

Cooking Light ~ Fall Festival
Our Cooking Light virtual Supper Culb for this month is celebrating the 'Fall Festival'.
I had a hard time making a selection . . . because it is still hotter than Blue Blazes here.
We are a L O N G way from a fall festival.
But in the virtual spirit of a virtual supper club, I went to Cooking Light and found
This Recipe which reminds me of the banana treats at the fair.
Caramelized Banana Sundae
1Tbs butter
1Tbs brown sugar
2Tbs dark rum
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
3/4 cup thinly sliced banana
2 cups vanilla icecream
4 tsp sliced almonds (optional)
Melt Butter in a non stick pan, add sugar and cinnamon and stir till blended. Add Rum and cook on high heat. Add bananas and cook for another minute. Remove from heat
Scoop ice cream into bowls, top with bananas and sauce.
I used candied pecans instead of the almonds ~ this is a quick and easy dessert. It is basically a banana's foster. Not exactly what you would find at a Fall Festival . . .
Perfect anytime of the year!
Now . . . let's see what everyone else has brought for our Fall Festival.
Jerry has grilled Corn on the Cob with Roasted Jalapeno Butter
Val is making a Lobster Roll with Fennel and Citrus
Susan is bringing Beer Battered Onion Rings
Sara is bringing Taco in a bag!
Y'all enjoy ~

BLUES ~ Bigger in summertime
The Hydrangeas have been beautiful ths year ~ In what I think must the the wetest summer in history.
These are all in front of the house ~ the difference in the blues amaze me.
The only thing bigger than the hydrangea blooms . . .
are the mosquitos!
I'm ready for fall.
Don't forget to check in at Smiling Sally for more blues and Boogie Board Cottage for her Masterpiece Monday.
