Hot and Spicy Brie

Television has ruined us...

When we were having friends over and I said I was serving hot and spicy brie, Bill's thoughts immediately went to the desperate housewife. Sorry Bubba~ out of luck!
This brie is a whole lot easier to handle.

Hot and Spicy Brie
1 round brie
1 jar red pepper jelly
1 cup fresh cranberries

Trim the edges off of the brie and place in a pie plate. In the center spread the jar of pepper jelly. Top with cranberries. Bake in the oven at 300 until hot and bubbly. Serve with crackers.

It makes a beautiful festive holiday appetizer~ and couldn't be any easier. Don't tell anyone else in the neighborhood.
Y'all enjoy!

That does sound great. Maybe I'll steal this idea for New Years.

Have a great Holiday.

I still think of cheese when my daughter, Briana, uses the nickname Bri. Even with the dropped E, my mind goes to food.

Mmmm, I would love to have tasted your cranberry creation.

Do you ever try this wrapped in pastry (could even use a pilsbury pie crust)? Though I wonder if the cranberries will cook properly.

Marta~ I'm using it New Years too
Lisa~ I don't know that I would be admitting that!
Kim~ I've done that with pastry sheets and it works well... this is more ooey gooey.
