Centerpiece of the Month~ August

It has been a while since I have posted a Centerpiece of the Month. For those of you who may not have been to the WhistleStop kitchen very often, these are centerpieces out and around the blogworld. Many of them have been e-mailed to me. Some centerpieces I have found to feature. Either way... This is a fun feature we do every month.

Jade at Apples & Oranges is the best when it comes to centerpieces. She is celebrating the cool temps and sunshine yellow mini mums.

At The Lettered Cottage Layla has taken a simple bouquet and styled her dining room. Of course as a future Design Star... that is what she does best. Don't forget to vote for her!! Kimba has taken an idea from Rachel Ray. Mismatched glasses and votive candles become a fall centerpiece. Sandy says she is a Reluctant Entertainer, but no one would know. I love the way she can take such a simple setting and make a place to entertain!
Wait~ I had it all wrong! Sandy's blog is 'For Reluctant Entertainers'. DUH! I guess I should have guessed that~ she has the most brilliant ideas. I have her on my fresh blog roll now... we can keep a check on her ideas! My centerpiece for the month is just a casual collection out on our sun porch. This just shows that you don't have to have anything fancy to be a centerpiece of the month.

Jerry said that I have even shamed him into centerpieces!

What do y'all have on your table?
Send me a photo!

Hey Sandi - thanks for including me. What a fun, fun post! BTW, my blog is "4 Reluctant E's" and I am def. NOT a reluctant entertainer but I love to encourage those who are! Woo Hoo.

Happy September!

Oh my goodness! Thank you SO much for choosing my bouquet! This is so cool!
I just called my Mom (who put it together for me) and left her a message...she's gonna be so flattered. :-)

Sandy~ duh... now I get it! For reluctant entertainers... not four reluctant entertainers. That makes total sense!
Layla~ You are so cool... you make it look so simple.

Thank you for hosting this little spot of inspiration, it is amazing to see what people do with their space, often with bits & pieces gathered from that have meaning and symbolism to them. Really talented displays.

Hi Sandi,
Fantastic center pieces, as always. Just had to tell you - last weekend on the way to Jacksonville, we stopped on Hwy 301 near Cross Creek to buy produce from a roadside market and guess what they were selling right there next to the tomatoes. Thats right! WhistleStop batter mixes. I took pictures to email you. Ya'll are everywhere!
