A sign of the times...

I guess this is a sign of the times.

Our Pier 1 is closing.
It is a shame when a great store like Pier 1 can't keep the doors open and WalMart is crowded 24-7. It is a cryin' shame!
On the other hand 25%-50% off is to good to resist. I wish I could think of a place to hang this little chandelier.
In the mean time we need to something to stimulate the economy.
Y'all support the little guy!

I hope they are not all closing. If yours is doing well, that's not a good sign.

I haven't noticed if my local Pier One's are closing or not (guess I was at WalMart). I do love Pier One, but Kirkland's seems to be sticking their stores in the same strip malls as the Pier One's. I'm sure that affects their business too. I love Pier One's kitchen stuff, etcc. I will miss them too if mine are out.

Hmmm? All of them?

Sign of the times, indeed.

NOOOOOOOO! I had no idea! That is terrible. Is it the one in Alabaster or in Hoover, or both? So sad!

Oh NO, I've not heard this one yet. Are all of them closing or just a few? First my favorite Bombay and Company and now Pier One!!!

Blessings,

Not your local Pier 1!
Love their stores for unique and inspired decor.

Walmart cookie cutter imitation plastic stuff devoid of personality might have a place in the market but not at the expense of our beloved Pier One.
