Summertime~

Summertime~ and livin' is easy.
I have been busy re-doing our back porch. I hope my decorating BF (blog-friends) will be proud! We picked up two new cozy chairs to replace the tall table and chairs that we had there before. Now we have a place out of the sun to relax and listen to the sound of the water fountain.

This will be my new favorite corner to chill out, read a book, and humm a little Gershwin.

One of these mornings
You're going to rise up singing
Then you'll spread your wings
And you'll fly to the sky.

Now if we could do something about this Alabama heat!

Y'all enjoy!

Beautiful porch redo, Sandi! I love the chairs and the curtain. That zebra rug is calling my name!

It's very soggy here in eastern Missouri. Another levee broke this morning. The water is everywhere! We are 15 miles from the river, so our home is out of danger. We've had a reprieve from heat.

Have a great weekend.

Wow! Nice porch. Ahhhhh, the Bama heat. Nothing like it, eh? (I won't even start in on my misery with this Texas heat 'cause it just doesn't compare. Let me say one word: HUMIDITY).

I spent many a summer in Selma and Mobile with my grandparents and my aunt. But I was young and skinny then. I thought the heat and humidity was invigorating. Okay, so I was young and skinny and STUPID. But I digress....your porch looks wonderful enough to put up with that southern swelter. Good job!

I saw that fountain at Target and wanted to buy it so badly. Isn't it pretty? Your porch looks very inviting.

I'd invite you to sit on my porch to cool off but it's in the 90's again so not much help!!! Your porch looks good though - and with that wonderful strawberry and cream dessert maybe it will cool down soon!
Enjoy the weekend.

It looks FABULOUS! Love the black wicker.

I am losing my cherished front porch (due to a move) and getting a stoop. Ick. Stoop even sounds crummy. I have given my wicker to friends for them to enjoy. Maybe they will follow your lead and paint it black. Yours is great!

Sandi - love the porch - the chairs are really nice - looks so peaceful - I can just hear the waterfall!!
I have a standing oscilating fan on my porch and it does help some - really just blows around hot air - but you feel better anyway!!!
