Strawberry season

Strawberries are in season!
A friend picked some berries in Chilton County just last weekend. Is there a better quick dessert than Strawberry Shortcake?
This adds a little chocolate to a shortcake... the perfect combination! You can whip it up in no time and have a warm dessert.

White Chocolate Shortcakes
2 1/3cup bisquick
1/2 cup milk
3 Tbs sugar
2 Tbs butter
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
preheat oven to 425°

Combine all ingredients, blending well. Add chocolate chips last. Dough will be very thick. Make 6 patties- about 1/2 inch thick. Bake 8-10 minutes.

Slice strawberries, combine with 1 Tbs sugar and 1 Tbs Grand Mariner. Allow to sit for a good while to soften.

Top each shortcake with sliced berries and a dollop of whipped cream.Y'all enjoy!

We don't have strawberry season until June and raspberries in July. I can hardly wait. We are on our last jar of jam. I will try your recipe when the time comes-for sure.

Fantastic! We go through about 5 pounds of strawberries a week while they're in season here. This just gives me one more excuse to go to the farm and pick more :)

Is there anything as simple and delicious as strawberry shortcake. I like your "twist" with the white chocolate!

Aren't the strawberries good this year?! Leave it to you to think to add white chocolate chips to the shortcake and grand marnier to the strawberries! LOL Sounds delish - I'll give it a try! Thanks Sandi.

Y'all are right... what is better than strawberries and chocolate??

Sally~ the strawberries needed some sunshine to make them sweeter (so I hear) Now they are perfect!

Oh, I can almost taste it. Our strawberries are a little later than yours so I still have lots of time to try out this recipe. Yum.
