Photohunt ~Veterans

The photohunt for this week is 'Veterans'I took these photos at the Naval Air Museum in Pensacola. ~a great place to visit by the way, if you are at the beach and need a day out of the sun.
I bet y'all will remember these. We wore them to commemorate the POWs during the Vietnam war. I wore mine for years.

Seeing thousands of them thrown in the display makes your heart heavy. 'Thank you' is just not enough.

Happy Hunting y'all!

Whoa!!! If there were a contest for the best of the theme this one should be the winner. As a Vietnam vet (Never a POW, Thank God) this one went straight to my heart! Thank you so much for caring!!!

I wore mine for years, too, until it broke. I still remember his name and checked it when I visited the Vietnam Memorial in D.C. He didn't make it home, either, and I cried. The thought of it brings tears to my eyes even now.

That is sobering to see them all together like that. So sad, so many, too young.

I'm not American so I had no idea what they were.
What a wonderful idea it was and how sad to find out that one's soldier did not make it home.

Happy weekend to you.
