A Wedding~

A part of the reason I was in Italy last month was to attend the wedding of our friends Coy and Susan. Not everyone starts their married lives with a wedding at the Vatican!
Dinner the night before was at Alfredo's. The most amazing fettuccine alfredo you have ever tasted. It was so simple... light fresh pasta, Parmesan and olive oil. It was a fun night with plenty of laughs and memories.

The ceremony was held in Vatican City at the chapel where the Spanish Guard attend mass. It is... awesome! After the 'I do's and blessings, the bride and groom strolled down the street to the cries of 'congratulazioni!' We had a fabulous dinner at Veneria~ a favorite of the pope's.

Words don't even begin to describe the event...This is a marriage is truly blessed.

The honeymoon in Montisi is next... I bet you can't wait for those pictures.
Ciao y'all
Sandi

Wonderful photos! I perked right up when I saw your post title. Since I'm in the midst of planning our daughter's wedding, I love hearing about others and looking for ideas.

Hugs!

Oh My...What a wonderful place to have a wedding.....about 12 years ago 2 Swiss Guards came and stayed at our home for a week....very interesting. They were the most delightful young men.

Thanks for sharing your photos, brought back good memories.

Kat~ This was a perfect 'destination' wedding. But it would be hard to beat your own backyard!

How wonderful!!! An Italian wedding! With Italian food, too! =)

Monica, from TheWhiteBench blog, lives in Italy and she was the photographer for a wedding there about one month ago. Now wouldn't it be something if SHE was the one who took photos at the wedding you were at?! The post is on her blog, several down from her current post.
